What we move by transport mode, inbound and outbound
Full container, consolidated cargo, air and truck: which products travel in each mode, into and out of Mexico, and which type of company ships them.
Each transport mode has its typical cargo. Below are the product lines Kold Gold handles in full containers (FCL), consolidated cargo (LCL), by air and by road: five imports and five exports per mode, with the type of company that usually ships them. At the end come the ten product groups that Mexican logistics moves most.
We operate in the world's busiest international ports and at every customs office in Mexico, and we speak your language: multilingual agents from origin to destination. Customs clearance is handled by a partner licensed customs broker and coordinated by Kold Gold; cargo insurance is available and transit times are always estimates.

Frequently asked questions
What clients ask us most
- When should I choose FCL and when LCL?
- A full container (FCL) when your cargo fills or nearly fills a 20- or 40-foot container, or when you do not want anyone else handling it. Consolidated cargo (LCL) when it is only a few cubic meters: you share the container and pay for the space you use, in exchange for more handling and a stop at the consolidator's warehouse at origin and destination. With your real volume, we help you compare both options.
- When does air freight make sense?
- When the goods are worth a lot and take up little space, expire quickly or stop an operation if they do not arrive: chips, medicines, AOG parts or fresh fruit for distant markets. Air freight is charged by chargeable weight, so it pays to check weight and dimensions before deciding.
- What moves by road between Mexico and the United States?
- A large share of trade with the United States and Canada: auto parts, electronics, fresh produce in reefer trailers, furniture, packaging and grain in hoppers. It travels as full truckload (FTL) or less than truckload (LTL), with the border crossing coordinated. The transit times we give are estimates and depend on the route and the crossing.
- Which documents change with the transport mode?
- Mainly the transport document: bill of lading (BL) for ocean, air waybill (AWB) for air and carta porte for road. The invoice, packing list and any certificates the goods require stay the same in every mode. Customs clearance is handled by a partner licensed customs broker and coordinated by Kold Gold.
