Which authority is involved in Mexico?

SENASICA. For imports, it inspects the animal at the inspection office where it enters and issues the zoosanitary import certificate; for exports, it issues the zoosanitary export certificate when the destination country requires one.

What does a dog need to enter the US from Mexico?

For the CDC: at least 6 months of age, a microchip, good health and the CDC Dog Import Form receipt. For the USDA: a screwworm inspection within 5 days before shipment. Dogs for sale or adoption have additional requirements.

Can bulldogs, pugs and other snub-nosed breeds fly?

It depends on the airline, route and season. Some don't accept them in the hold and others require a larger crate or temperature limits. We confirm in writing before booking.

Yes. We coordinate certificates, tests and the flight in equine stalls. Some destinations, such as the United States, require quarantine on arrival, and land border status from Mexico has changed because of screwworm; we check it before setting a date.
