We sell to customers in Mexico on DDP terms but have no Mexican company. Who appears as importer on the customs entry and what are the options?

We are a foreign company with no Mexican entity: who can be the importer?

Kold Gold answer Kold Gold In Mexico the importer must be an individual or company with a Mexican tax ID that meets the registrations required by the authorities. If the seller has no Mexican entity, the usual options are: the Mexican customer imports in its own name (most common), or an importer of record acts as the importer for the operation.
Kold Gold works with partners that provide importer-of-record services and with bonded-warehouse partners, so the Mexico leg can be solved even if the seller has no local entity. Each structure has different tax and contractual implications, so review it with your client's advisor before agreeing on the Incoterm.
Kold Gold does not handle third parties' importer registry (Padrón de Importadores): each importer manages that registration with the authorities.
